We are back into the busy swing of things in 1st grade! It has been so wonderful to hear all about each other’s winter breaks and to set some goals for the remainder of the school year.
As we approach the 1/2 mark this week, we encourage students to remember to practice sight words (high frequency words) each week and to practice math facts and read nightly. Thank you for your continued support.
Happy New Year! Welcome 2020! We are looking forward to a fabulous week as we welcome all of our sweet Bengals back to the routine. We hope that you all had wonderful time with family and friends and are looking forward to tackling the year ahead- it promises to be a wonderful time. Students may be extra tired this week as they resettle into the routine of school and the extra demands that brings with it. Thank you for taking the opportunity to re-establish positive homework and bedtime routines at home to help with the successful transition.

It’s hard to believe that the first trimester came to an end last Friday. Students have worked very hard this trimester and have made so much growth. Report Cards will be available to view on the Aeries Parent Portal this Friday, Nov. 22nd after 3:00 PM.
We look forward to learning more about each of our students during oral presentations this week. Please reference the information that was sent home for specifics.
We hope that everyone enjoyed their 3 day weekend. We are very grateful for the Veterans who have protected and continue to protect our great country. Thank you, Veterans. It is hard to believe the the holiday season is fast approaching. We will spend this month taking the opportunity think about all of the things that we are thankful for throughout the year.
We will have a friendship feast to kick off Thanksgiving Break on Tuesday, November 26th.
Wow! It is hard to believe that it is already November. Fall is flying by! Students will enjoy listening to and reading, Where the Wild Things Are, this week. It is always a favorite among our First Graders. If you have not read it before, your child would love to share it with you.
It was so wonderful to see so many of our fabulous first grade families at the Fall Festival last Friday. Thank you to our amazing PTA for such a fantastic event. We look forward to an exciting week ahead with Halloween. Students are encouraged to dress up on Halloween, just make sure no masks, weapons/replica weapons, no high heels, or excessive makeup or gore. We can’t wait to have fun together on Thursday!
